Week 11: Lessons from the zombie apocalypse in global popular culture: An environmental discourse approach to the Walking Dead.

Tuesday: WORKSHOP & CONSULTATION

1. Film notes due today. 2-3 paragraph memo about themes that emerged from the first viewing of your film. You will watch the film again so themes may change. Keep your handwritten film notes to hand in with the portfolio.

2. Send one or two 2-3 minute clips from zombie films or texts to Dr. Limpert no later than Wednesday at 12 noon. I will post them to the blog for review in class. We will analyze the clips using our weekly reading (Murphy) and the other course texts. This is a good opportunity for you to practice using themes/threads/claims from the course texts you will use for your own film analysis (the ones featured in your annotated bib).

3. Work on your annotated bib

4. Consult with Dr. Limpert. Discuss your film project, articles you will use, etc.

Thursday: We will watch zombie clips and analyze using Murphy's article and other course readings (see above).
